He bought the first house in 1986, then the one next door with a garden in 1987, without even visiting them. The owner wanted a house in Kasbah \u2013 near Yves Saint Laurent\u2019s Villa Mabrouka \u2013 to be within walking distance of Tangier. After extensive construction and refurbishment, the house became what you see today. In total, five building projects were conducted in ten years to completely transform it. The house is wonderfully warm and inviting as it\u2019s built on several floors with no partition walls. The baroque and calming interior is utterly charming. Green is omnipresent as are Afghan, Moroccan and Turkish fabrics. Some hangings were unearthed in London and Paris. The owner was drawn to other decorative pieces on trips around the globe. The furniture comes from old Tangier houses and encapsulates memories.
